Here's my first batch of Sammy's Sea Salt from the beach in front of my house in Cabo! I'm making this exclusively for the margaritas at the Cabo Wabo down here! Damn it's some salty salt -- a little goes a long way but it's flaky enough to disappear on the tongue. Unfortunately there ain't enough to go around, but it's fun to make -- just using a cookie sheet and 1/2" of sea water at a time!

Hey Redheads - I know I told you about the crazy time I had with my brother-from-another-mother Guy Fieri shooting an episode of his "Guy's Big Bites" TV show the other week, but I just got some photos and I had to share. Wait until you get a load of the recipes and how we put the new rum to the test! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

For me Ronnie's passing is the end of an era. Ronnie Montrose gave me my first break as a songwriter, as a front man, as a recording artist and as a touring artist, and for that I will always be grateful. The first Montrose album was the first album I ever recorded and it still stands as one of the best recordings I have ever been a part of. I was looking forward to a reunion for my birthday bash in Cabo with Denny, Bill and Ronnie - one of the few bands from that era where all four original members were still able to do it.
